Meeting Aerosmith

On September 4,2010 Brian and I went to the Mohegan Sun Casino where we met 4 members of Aerosmith.

Not long after we arrived we spotted Joey Kramer (drummer) of Aerosmith. I asked him if he would sign two LP's for us. He was extra nice that day and he did it! I asked if we could take photos with him which he did as well. It was an excellent experience!

A friend of ours gave us a tip that Steven Tyler (lead singer)would be coming out of the arena through a certain way. We went down to take a look. Within 10 minutes out came Steven Tyler with a big hat and a striped shirt on flanked by security. We asked Steven if he would sign for us and he said,"I'll sign a couple." The security who were in back of Steven said no. So Steven reached out his hand around them to grab our albums and then our sharpie. He signed both albums and went on his way. This is the 3rd time Brian has met him and my second, he is so down to earth and friendly!! We heard a girl on her cell phone say that Steven was going to Johnny Rockets to eat. We went down to check it out. There was alot of security inside and out. While the staff started singing and clapping,Steven Tyler joined in by singing, clapping and dancing in his seat. Security escorted him out the back way when he was done. That was the last we saw him that day.

Meanwhile, Tom Hamilton (bassist) had walked in to the restaurant. Brian and I and two friends followed him down the hall when he left. Somehow our two friends got him to sign for them and then he said,"no more," A little later in the evening we met up with Tom Hamilton again we asked for an autograph and I handed him my sharpie he said,"no blue." A little puzzled I said,"All I have is blue." He turned to walk away. Luckily, one of our friends pulled out a black sharpie for us. I said,"wait, Tom I have a black sharpie." He quickly turned around and signed for us. No photos with him this time, the last time we met him I did get a photo with him, but Brian didn't.

As we were walking through the mall we see Brad Whitford (guitarist) with a beer in his hand. In the past we had met Brad, and as before he is very pleasant and friendly. Brian and Brad talk about the Experience Hendrix tour in which Brad plays with many different guitarists. Afterwards, he signed our albums and took photos with us. Brad Whitford smiled at us as we thanked him.

There was no sighting of Joe Perry. I guess we will have to meet him at one of solo gigs.

All in all a very exciting and successful night with a favorite rock band of ours!!
